Take a moment and reflect on your own unanswered or answered questions in life.

For example:
Where do I belong?
Can I do it?
Will I do it?
Why will I do it?
Am I a man?

When the answers to these questions become clear, thanks in part to the influential people in your life such as your father, they promote positive self-talk, help build confidence, and fuel pride.

Left unanswered these questions can lead to issues like self-doubt, fear, anger, and in extreme cases, self-hatred.

I struggled with all of these questions, starting in childhood and extending into early adulthood. As time went on the consequences of not being able to answer these questions grew more and more severe.

Despite coming from a good family in one of the wealthiest counties in the United States, I found myself sleeping in my car or on random couches, experiencing suicidal thoughts, and a life plan of robbing drug dealers.

Since this time, I have been fortunate enough to find a greater level of inner-peace that keeps me from living in such darkness. It is my hope that this article will inspire fathers to speak with their sons, helping these five questions.

When your son knows where he belongs, believes in himself, trusts himself, is connected to a higher passion and purpose, and is confident in his manhood he will blaze his own trail.

To help your son dive deeper into these five questions:

Where do I belong?
Can I do it?
Will I do it?
Why will I do it?
Am I a man?
